Thank you to all the amazing Duas Quintas guests, from all over the world, who have made running this guesthouse such a wonderful experience for us.
When we first opened the doors, we had absolutely no idea of the lives that would be shared with us, the laughs and even tears sometimes, the many glasses of wine in the garden and the endless coffees at the end of breakfast. We take with us some precious new friendships and look forward to staying in touch. Our plan is to stay living in this area and see what opportunities semi retirement brings up.
We will miss Duas Quintas but we are also very happy to leave it in the very capable hands of Tobias and Kristin Waibel. We wish them health and happiness as they start this new part of their lives together.
Here is a message from Tobias and Kristin to introduce themselves to you:
“We are Kristin and Tobias, the new owners of the beautiful Duas Quintas. We decided to fulfill our dream and to leave Germany to start a new life in sunny Portugal.
Tobias has worked his entire career in the financing and real estate sector whereas Kristin worked in Public Relations in different large companies in Germany and Brussels.
We are very grateful to have found the wonderful Quinta that Mary and Les developed in the past 15 years to become the beautiful, relaxing place that it is now with its charming and caring hosts.
We will use the winter months to do some refurbishments and to add our own style to the house and we would be very happy to welcome you when we re-open at Easter 2021 under the new name “Quinta da Luz”. "
